This is my Boundaries project and I chose to represent the difference between the sky and the water while the moon is rising. I got the inspiration for this from over this past summer while I was in Maine on a lake. There was a gorgeous night with no clouds in the sky and the moon hung over the lake, casting a reflection in the rippling water. As I looked through my pictures for inspiration I thought of doing something like this. I experimented a lot in this. I used salt to create a star texture in the sky, rubbing alcohol to separate and create the lines in the water, and I used rubber cement to keep the reflection a lighter shade. I also created original artwork by using something that I had thought of on my own. I am very proud of the results of this project, and I am excited to share it with others.
